1. Strictly necessary
These keep the site working and cannot be switched off from within the product.
- Session — keeps you signed in as you move between pages. Cleared when you sign out.
- Security — protects forms against cross-site request forgery.
2. Attribution
This is the one that matters for your reward. When you open a tracked link we store a reference identifying the click, so that when the partner reports the purchase we can match it to you.
- What it holds: a random reference, the offer version and the time of the click. It does not hold your email or your name.
- How long: for the attribution window of the offer you clicked, which is shown on every offer page and is typically 30 to 45 days.
- If you refuse or clear it: you can still use the site normally, but a purchase cannot be attributed to you and no reward will follow. This is a real consequence, not a dark pattern — the partner simply has nothing to report against.
The partner firm you land on will set its own cookies under its own policy. We do not control those and they are covered by that firm's notice.
3. Saved firms
On the comparison page you can save a firm with the heart beside its name. The list of saved firms is kept in your browser and is never sent to us, so it is strictly functional storage rather than something we ask consent for.
- What it holds: the short names of the firms you saved. Nothing else, and nothing identifying you.
- How long: until you clear your browser storage.
- If you clear it: the hearts empty. Nothing else changes, and it is per-browser — saving on your phone does not save on your laptop.
4. Analytics
Any analytics we introduce will be listed here individually, by name and purpose, and will be opt-in rather than bundled into an accept-all. We will not add a third-party advertising or cross-site tracking tag.
5. Managing your choices
You can clear or block storage in your browser settings at any time. Doing so signs you out and, as above, breaks attribution for any purchase you have not yet made. Marketing email consent is separate and is managed from your consents page.
6. Changes
If we add a category of storage, this notice is versioned and re-issued, and consent is asked again where consent is the basis. See the privacy notice for how the underlying data is handled.
